Catalyst Eggs Season 1 Recap

Catalyst Eggs Season 1 Recap

Catalyst Early Access Mainnet launched 10 weeks ago, as the first ever protocol to offer shared liquidity between Ethereum rollups.

As a modular liquidity engine, it’s optimized to be lightweight and scalable. Catalyst introduces a new cross-chain paradigm that automatically connects chains as they launch and efficiently shares liquidity between them—dissolving the barriers between chains to create a global liquidity layer.

Since then, we saw $18M in total volume across 32K swaps and 22K users – using $1.2M in TVL earning 6% APR in yield.

We also saw an explosion of activity in the Catalyst Discord – with nearly 3K community members and counting.

As we wind Season 1 of Catalyst eggs and celebrate these milestones, we turn our sights to scaling up Catalyst Mainnet beyond Early Access: more chains, more features, and more surprises in store.

Recap of Eggs Season 1

The last distribution of eggs for Season 1 will happen by 21:00 GMT on Friday, August 2nd (so later today).

16M total eggs were distributed to all Catalyst users, with an individual earning on average ~475 eggs. The Catalyst Rewards page will remain online, so that users can view their final egg balances and their loyalty score for Season 1.

As a reminder, all Wormhole community members that participated in Cathole received 50 additional eggs. Individuals who completed any Galxe quest for Catalyst received a 5% multiplier bonus on all eggs they received during Season 1.

And egg holders will receive more information in the coming weeks on what will happen to their eggs in the Great Hatchening.

All cats love eggs, and we're happy to share our love for eggs to the Catalyst community.
